FLORIST INFORMATION.
When the flowers have arrived it is best to cut a few centimeters from the stem and put them into fresh water. Make sure the bucket or vase is clean. Use only smooth materials such as glass or plastic, no metals like lead or zinc. Do not put the flowers in a droughty place or in direct sunlight and not near fruit because fruit produces ethylene.Do not use oasis to put the stems in, because it will block the water supply to the flowers. Oasis can be used as a supporting material.
Delphinium is very sensitive to bacteria polluted water, so it is advisable to use bacteria killing water supplements to prevent this.
Below some examples, made by a Dutch florist, are shown. As you can see, Delphinium is a flower with lots of possibilities. Most of the time the flowers are use in a vertical way, but can also be used diagonal and horizontal. In some cases they can even be used hanging down.
Delphinium is definitely a flower that gives your work the "finishing touch".
